Twydall Phoetry Walk

(Art & Wellbeing)

🌍 Why Twydall?

Twydall Phoetry Walks is a locally rooted perimenopause & menopause programme, led by a practitioner based within the community.

By focusing on Twydall and the surrounding Rainham area, the programme supports increased access to well-being activity beyond central Medway, helping to create a more inclusive and accessible space for women to engage with movement.

This approach ensures the sessions are grounded in real lived experience, responsive to the needs of the local community, and designed to build trust and long-term participation.

Phoetry Walks: Includes found poetry and mobile photography, participation, which are both optional.

Twydall Walks is funded by:

The Community Fund - National Lottery.

SIP & Paint session: 5th Feb 2026

"What a great evening! Felt really welcome and relaxed. Loved having a choice of media to paint. The smoothies were delicious! The lady who runs it with her daughter was so friendly and knowledgeable about menopause and the battles we face. We enjoy reading the book too. Thank you, Tracey.

 🌍 EXHIBITIONS

Showcasing Black British Excellence

The Black Art Hub CIC curates community, educational, and professional exhibitions that platform Black British visual artists and poets, creating space for work that challenges, inspires, and celebrates cultural heritage.

Our programme is locally rooted and community-led, with a clear and intentional focus:

  • 70% of our work centres on Black British visual arts, poetry, and cultural narratives

  • 30% focuses on wider community engagement, including art and wellbeing, exhibitions, and education

This approach allows us to both amplify under-represented voices and create inclusive, accessible spaces for shared cultural and creative experiences.
