The Black Art Hub CIC is home to The Benjamin Zephaniah Library & Archive, a growing community-led collection dedicated to preserving and celebrating Black British arts & culture, the global African diaspora, and creative technical knowledge.
We are currently seeking donations of used books, e-books, and academic papers to support our mission of building Medway’s first digital-native archival library. Your contributions help reduce book waste, increase community access to knowledge, and ensure that Black and biracial histories are preserved, represented, and celebrated for future generations.
🌟 You can drop off donated books at:
The Black Art Hub CIC,
14A Nucleus Arts Centre, High Street, Chatham, Kent ME4 4BP.
We are also fundraising to develop the Benjamin Zephaniah Digital Library & Archives, which will provide free access to digital collections, research materials, and community‑driven cultural archives.
Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to creating a national resource rooted in equity, representation, and creativity.

A Creative Network Powered by The Black Art Hub
CADA (UK Collective of African Diaspora Artists) is the Black Art Hub’s dynamic community of Black British and African diaspora visual artists, designers, illustrators, and poets.
Our mission is to connect, elevate, and platform creative talent through networking events, professional development, and collaborative exhibitions and poetry performances.
Supported by The Black Art Hub, CADA delivers impactful cultural and educational programming for corporate partners, community organisations, galleries, and educational institutions.
Our work actively strengthens British counter-narratives by challenging exclusion, expanding representation, and reclaiming Black British visibility, diversity, and creative autonomy.
Whether curating exhibitions, hosting spoken word showcases, or leading arts‑based workshops, CADA artists create culture on their own terms. As a Black female‑led organisation, we don’t just participate in the arts—we lead, innovate, and redefine what Black British creativity looks like.
